Satellite Dialysis develops and operates dialysis programs staffed by dedicated and experienced clinicians.  Together with our physician partners, we share a strong commitment to high-quality patient care.  This philosophy is reflected in our expert team of professionals, which in addition to our physician partners, includes:

Nephrology Nurses: All of Satellite Dialysis’ nurses are specialty trained in dialysis.  To this end, we encourage our nurses to pursue advanced certification in the field of nephrology and dialysis treatment.  More than half of Satellite Dialysis nurses are Certified Nephrology Nurses (CNN). Satellite Healthcare Nurses are some of the most experienced in the dialysis community with more than 10 years on average.

Dietitians: Renal Dietitians play a critical role in managing kidney disease and related conditions, including bone, iron and anemia management. Satellite Dialysis recognizes the importance of actively managing patients’ nutritional treatment plans to promote quality dialysis outcomes. Satellite Healthcares nutrition policy and protocols have been developed  under the direct leadership of Linda McCann, author of the “Pocket Guide to Nutrition Assessment of the Patient with Chronic Kidney Disease” published by the National Kidney Foundation. Additionally all Satellite Dialysis Dietitians are encouraged to be a certified specialist in Renal Nutrition (CSR).

Social Workers: Satellite Healthcare Dialysis’ social workers have an important role in assisting patients and their families in the management of the emotional and social adjustments that often follows the diagnosis of their kidney disease.  Our social workers support those adjusting to the lifestyle change of chronic kidney disease by providing individual and family counseling, patient education and community resource referrals. As a measure to further ensure industry excellence, 100% of Satellite Dialysis’ social workers have earned Masters Degree in the field of social work.
