Recipe: Garlic Bread

Ingredients:

  • 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • Dash cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. grated parmesan cheese
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 loaf (1 lb.) French bread
  • 1 tsp. Italian herbs

Directions:

Pour oil into a small bowl. Add garlic to oil and let stand overnight. The next day, strain garlic from oil and discard. To the oil, add paprika, cayenne, lemon juice and parmesan; mix well. Stir in mayonnaise. Slice loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Spread each half generously with garlic spread. Place both halves under the broiler and broil until golden brown. Serve hot.
