San Francisco Kidney Walk A Success

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, May 15, 2009 – Satellite Healthcare, one of the nation’s first and leading providers of kidney dialysis services and a major sponsor of nephrology research, today announced their participation at the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) walk in San Francisco was a huge success. This was the inaugural year for this event in San Francisco on May 9. Satellite Healthcare’s commitment to kidney health was represented by several staff assisting with health screenings and over 30 staff and family participating in the 3 plus mile walk. Satellite Healthcare supports the importance of the NKF’s education and awareness building to the public about kidney disease.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) affects more than 26 million Americans, with another 20 million having risk factors for developing the disease.
