Norman S. Coplon, M.D., is the founder of Satellite Healthcare – as well as the recognized “heart” of the organization. Dr. Coplon's vision was to create a non-profit organization dedicated to providing healthcare services, funding research, and providing education for patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). Dr. Coplon has actively contributed to the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) and has received numerous honors and awards, including the Martin Wagner Memorial Award. He was the NKF's “Man Of The Year” in 1992 and has authored numerous articles. Dr. Coplon completed his residency at Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, New York, and his Fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he holds the position of Clinical Professor of Medicine. He continues to treat patients, conduct research, and publish articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. |
