Brigitte Schiller, M.D.

Brigitte Schiller, M.D., Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Scientific Affairs for Satellite Healthcare, is responsible for leading internal and contract research and for providing clinical leadership to guide Satellite Laboratory Services. She acts as principal investigator in various clinical trails with products that have the promise to improve outcomes in ESRD patients, and she conducts in-house research with special emphasis on cardiovascular disease in ESRD patients as well as new developments in home dialysis. Board certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Schiller was in private practice as a nephrologist and primary care physician in Massachusetts from 2000 to 2003. Before that, she served as a consultant for medical companies with interests in the field of nephrology, and she worked as an Assistenzarzt (fully responsible physician) at the University of Munich in Germany. Dr. Schiller graduated summa cum laude from the University of Freiburg (Germany) and completed her post-graduate training in internal medicine and nephrology at the University of Munich, Northwestern University (Evanston, Ill.), and the University of Chicago. She has published numerous papers and gives frequent presentations to various medical conferences.
