Rick is responsible for managing Satellite’s strategic plans as the
organization builds on its 40+-year reputation as the nation's leading
not-for-profit dedicated to the advancement of care for people with kidney disease.
Rick brings to Satellite over 30 years of experience at some of California's
leading hospitals and ambulatory care centers. Most recently Rick served
as Senior Vice President of VHA Inc. and Executive Officer of the West
Coast Region. At VHA, Rick directed a network of more than 100 hospitals
and related entities across Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon
Rick has also served as President and CEO of Mercy Medical Center, Redding;
President and CEO of Mercy Medical Center, Mt. Shasta; and Senior Vice
President and Chief Operating Officer of Queen of the Valley Hospital, Napa.
In addition to membership on a range of healthcare executive industry organizations,
Rick has held seats on executive boards ranging from The Hospital Council
of Northern California to various non-profit, government and university
Rick holds a Master's Degree in Business from California State University
at Fullerton and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from
Pacific Union College.
