Patients Define ‘Good Outcome’
as Living the Best Life Possible.
What’s most important to you? What are your dreams? What makes you who you are?
At Satellite Healthcare, these are the questions we ask each patient. Then, by working closely with the patient and his/her medical and personal care team, we do the best we can to help patients live the life they hope for.
Satellite staff is dedicated to meeting and exceeding the standards set by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), including low standardized hospitalization rates (SHR) in both admits and days as compared to national averages and low standardized mortality rate (SMR) rates compared to national averages.
Beyond statistics, our devoted teams strive to treat the whole patient by:
- Supporting a patient who wants/needs to continue his/her career.
- Helping a patient have energy to enjoy children and grandchildren as they grow.
- Ensuring a patient who wishes to travel has what he/she needs to relax and savor time away from home.
- Doing whatever we can to help each patient live the life he/she hopes for.
In the most recent results released by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Five-Star Quality Rating System, 70% of Satellite Healthcare centers included in the program received a rating by CMS of 4 and 5 stars. This builds on an already high percentage of 4 and 5-star centers.
For many patients, home dialysis results in a better quality of life: generally better overall health and energy, greater schedule flexibility, and more time for family, friends, work, and travel.
Satellite is a leader in home dialysis options, training, and support. In fact, Satellite has nearly three times the national average proportion of patients on home dialysis.
