Satellite Healthcare Names Pamela Molano Vice President of Physician Services

SAN JOSE, CA – February 2, 2015 – — Satellite Healthcare, a leading national not-for-profit provider of dialysis services, has named Pamela Molano as Vice President of Physician Services. In her role, Molano will manage and enhance the organization's relationships with the hundreds of physicians currently in its network and build partnerships with other top physicians in the field of nephrology.

Molano brings to her new role 35 years of healthcare experience, during which she accomplished strategic and operational change in integrated delivery systems, academic medical centers, hospitals, medical groups, and disease management companies. She joins Satellite from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, where as Interim Leader, she directed the transformational improvement initiatives for pediatric ambulatory services. Prior to that, she was Interim Chief Operating Officer at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego, where she led the operations of a $800 million budget, 520-bed hospital in partnership with the University of California San Diego School of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics and Rady Children's Specialists San Diego. Prior to that, she served as Chief Administrative Officer of the Pediatric and Obstetric Faculty Practice Organization and Vice President of Physician and Ambulatory Services at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford, roles that involved her leading the operations of a 500-physician faculty practice plan, overseeing the hospital's ambulatory clinical services in 15 local sites and more than 100 outreach locations throughout eight states, and directing the Physician Relations Department. Among other positions she held prior are Medical Group Administrator at Kaiser Permanente's Santa Clara Medical Center, and Administrator at Providence Health System's Medical Group in Portland.

Molano holds a B.S. in Health Planning and Administration from Pennsylvania State University and an M.A. in Health Services Administration from George Washington University. She is an active member of the California Association of Healthcare Executives, as well as a fellow in both the American College of Medical Practice Executives and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

In addition to ANNA, she is also actively involved in the National Kidney Foundation of Northern California, the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, and serves on the Editorial Board of the Nephrology Nursing Journal.

Doss-McQuitty holds an MBA with a Healthcare Focus as well as a B.S. in Nursing from the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas; and a Diploma in Nursing from Methodist Medical Center School of Nursing in St. Joseph, Missouri.
