San Jose, CA – May 2, 2016 —Satellite Healthcare, a leading national not-for-profit provider of dialysis services, is pleased to announce that Sheila Doss-McQuitty, Director of Clinical Programs and Research, will assume the role of President of the American Nephrology Nurses’ Association (ANNA) during the organization’s National Symposium in Louisville, Kentucky, May 1-4.
Doss-McQuitty, whose nursing career spans more than 35 years, has specialized in nephrology since joining Satellite Healthcare in 1990. As the elected leader of one of the country’s largest nursing associations, Doss-McQuitty will be charged with overseeing the implementation of ANNA’s strategic plan to promote excellence in nephrology while providing a full spectrum of services to the organization’s 10,000 members.
“Sheila has served in national leadership roles within ANNA for much of the past 15 years and we know the association’s members will be in excellent hands under her guidance,” said Rick Barnett, CEO of Satellite Healthcare. “She is a wonderful example of a Satellite team member who joined us at the start of her career and continually took opportunities to build on her expertise as a nurse and a nephrology professional, leading to increasingly important leadership roles within the organization and in the nephrology community more broadly. She is a true inspiration.”
Satellite Healthcare will have a strong presence at the Symposium not only to celebrate Doss-McQuitty’s accomplishment and share information about the organization and employment opportunities in the exhibition space (Booth #501), but to educate attendees.
