To Employees and Physicians

Sep 1, 2017

It has been a week since Hurricane Harvey hit land lashing Texas. The path of destruction brought heavy rains to southeast Texas and parts of Louisiana. It is now moving northeast into Memphis where heavy rains are expected through Friday. Our team in Tennessee is well prepared.

In the wake of the devastation, we’ve seen colleagues working long hours to contact patients to ensure that they are safe and have access to dialysis treatment. We’ve seen outreach to vendors to make sure that medical supplies are available to those who need them. We’ve seen the Satellite Healthcare team of teams in action.

I want to personally thank all of our colleagues on the ground in Texas and Tennessee and all those behind the scenes for the tremendous job you have done.

Our commitment to our communities is enduring. To support recovery efforts in Texas, home to 347 Satellite Healthcare patients served at 11 centers in Austin, Houston and Laredo, we will make a donation to the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Fund. Should you wish to make a donation, click here for a list of organizations. Blood donations are yet another way to make a meaningful contribution to those in need.

We will continue to keep you updated. Our thoughts are with the residents of Texas and neighboring areas, especially those who have been adversely affected.
