Taking a More Active Role in Your Health in 2019
As we close out the first month of 2019, many of us are working hard to stick to our New Year’s resolutions. To help them last through the year, set new goals and create an action plan that will put you on the track to success.
Set realistic goals. Follow your physician's orders and take medication as prescribed should be first and foremost. In addition, following a balanced diet. The key is to set goals that are obtainable. Small steps lead to big changes.
Hold yourself accountable by tracking your progress. When you're able to see progress, it can motivate you even when you feel like giving up. They might seem like small steps now, but when you look back at all you accomplished, you’ll see that those small steps made a difference.
Make Goals A Priority
Ask a few of your friends, and you'll probably hear the same story, they have the best of intentions at beginning of the new year. Unfortunately, by the time February rolls around many abandon resolutions and slip back to old habits. Between work and family, it can be tough to stay true to yourself and find time to focus on your goals. Prioritize what you feel is most important.Take some time to practice mindfulness or prepare healthy meals for the week. Each step you take toward reaching your goals leads to success, no matter how small.
