3 Tips For Summer Fitness
A healthy and active lifestyle is good for your physical and emotional health. With summer here, look for ways to move your daily workouts outdoors. People living with kidney disease who regularly exercise report feeling stronger and healthier. Here are three tips for a summer of fitness:
1. Try a New Workout
The same old workout gets boring. Summer is the perfect time to get a water workout in or move your routine outdoors. Just remember to listen to your body, wear sunscreen, and choose light clothing that fits the weather.
2. Invite Others To Join You
A daily walk, or bike ride, with friends, is a great way to get a cardio workout. It’s also holding you accountable, making it easier to stick to a routine. Plus, what’s more fun than catching up with a friend. You’ll boost both your energy level and your mood.
3. Get Your Steps In!
Take the stairs. Park at the opposite end of the lot when shopping. Grab the leash and take the dog for a walk. You’ll be surprised at how fast those steps add up!
Enjoy the good weather and time outside, but check in with your doctor before beginning any new exercise plans.
